This cat literally would not let me walk past him. He weaved between my legs, making me almost crush him. I hope someone is taking care of this kitty.
But, this is so cruel because I want to own a tabby so bad!
Today I am starting to eat only one piece of bread a day if not none. I don’t think this part will be too hard for me, since I have only begun to start liking sandwiches. No sugar is still hard for me, but I treat the coconut oil as a dessert of sorts. It is so yummy!
Here is some chicken stock I am making. I find it to be so easy and cheaper if I just use bones from chicken I roasted. I put in the whole onion without peeling it. I don’t really understand why, but I hope it helps flavor the stock. I’m going to let it simmer for a while, then reduce it. I liked to freeze the stock into ice cubes so I can just pop then in when I want to.
I need more ideas on how to use my chicken stock…something besides chicken soup.
It has been a little difficult for me to get off the sugar, but it has been going well. I have been eating a little bit of not-so-sugary homemade banana bread everyday to ween myself off at least a little bit. I can’t just go cold turkey!
I am thinking of eating less wheat and grains, though. Since my next step is to take that pretty much out of my diet, I am preparing mentally for that. So, one meal I cooked today was some sausages and scrambled eggs. It was amazing, but I made myself a little too much food because I was stuffed by the end. I am starting to really like cooking with a mixture of butter and coconut oil. It has a slight sweet, light flavor.
Homemade chicken and rice soup! I used stock I made myself. This was so savory and flavorful. I suppose next time I will forget the rice and add more vegetables. It isn’t really the season for it, but I don’t care. I love chicken soup!

I’m slowly starting the diet today. Our goal for this week will be to stop having sugar and processed foods. Sugar will be very difficult for me, since I crave it all of the time. I especially love soda and baked goods and they will be sorely missed.
Here is some unrefined coconut oil that I will eat today. Apparently coconut oil has multiple benefits. So many in fact that I can’t imagine listing all of it. I am going to order some more from Jarrow Formulas today.
